Jelenia Góra – the last location on the nationwide route of the Mobile Future History Stop
The tour of the Mobile Future History Stop Station comes to an end in Jelenia Góra. The event spanned 10 cities across Poland and lasted for 30 days. The closing ceremony was attended by the Director of the New Technology Division of Institute of National Remembrance, Magdalena Hajduk. During the event, donations collected for people affected by the floods were handed over.
Conference marking the end of the nationwide tour of the Mobile Future History Stop
The official conference was attended by: Magdalena Hajduk, Director of the New Technology Division; Jerzy Łużniak, Mayor of Jelenia Góra; Łukasz Witek, Director of the “History Stops” Office; and Kamil Dworaczek, Director of the Wrocław Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN).
The conference was led by Director Dworaczek. After the opening and welcoming remarks, the microphone was handed to the Mayor of Jelenia Góra. Mayor Łużniak emphasized the importance of cooperation in response to the difficult flood situation. He also expressed his pleasure in hosting the “History Stop” in Jelenia Góra, especially since this initiative provides young people with an opportunity to escape the challenges of everyday life and engage in educational entertainment. Next, Magdalena Hajduk, Director of the New Technology Division, highlighted the success of this year’s edition of the Mobile Future History Stop, which hosted nearly 3,500 people during its nationwide tour. Finally, Director Witek spoke about the planned series of workshops for children and the organization of next year’s winter break activities for school youth in Jelenia Góra. The program will offer entertainment, full-day activities, and meals.
After the conference, the invited guests were introduced to the projects of the New Technology Division.
Donation handover for people affected by the floods
In the last three locations visited by the Mobile Future History Stop a collection of cleaning supplies and household chemicals was held for those affected by the floods. Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of visitors, a variety of cleaning products, such as detergents, laundry powders, and cleaning gels, were collected. Additionally, accessories such as sponges, gloves, cloths, bags, and paper were gathered.
“We are touched by the dedication shown by those who visited the Mobile Future History Stop and we thank everyone who contributed to the collection.” The donated items were handed over to the Mayor of Jelenia Góra, Jerzy Łużniak.

The station hosted nearly 3,500 visitors, including organized school groups, educators, teachers, as well as young people and adults. In every location, the Mobile Future History Stop attracted significant interest. Guests participated in immersive history lessons, and despite varying weather conditions, attendance remained strong. This demonstrates that the project was highly anticipated and met its objectives. Many visitors came back multiple times to engage in immersive history lessons and learn through games and applications prepared by the New Technology Division.
Immersive history lessons – learning combined with entertainment
The immersive history lessons of the Mobile Future History Stop combine fun with the expansion of digital skills and modern historical education. Acquiring knowledge and sparking interest through video games, apps, and podcasts is not only enjoyable but also effective. According to the research report “IMMERSIVE HISTORY EDUCATION – Towards New Educational Paths,” this is exactly the kind of learning that school youth expects.
Conferences and the warm reception of the Mobile Future History Stop
In each city, a conference was held with the participation of the Office of New Technologies, city officials, and representatives from the regional branches of the Institute of National Remembrance. Alongside media representatives, school youth attended the conferences in large numbers. Passersby, curious about the project, often spontaneously registered for their visit to the Mobile Stop.
