The New Technology Division of the Institute of National Remembrance is once again taking part in the largest desktop hackathon in Europe!
HackYeah! is Europe’s largest event bringing together creative individuals specialising in new technologies, as well as experts in various programming languages solving global problems with whatever tools they have, and also those who are just beginning their programming adventure. This 8th edition will be held entirely on-site at the Tauron Arena in Kraków from 19 to 20 November. The project is once again supported by GovTech. HackYeah! is an ideal opportunity to test your skills, learn new ones and win attractive prizes. This year’s edition has many challenges for participants and two very important open categories – Less Waste and IoT (Internet of Things). The prize pool has already exceeded PLN 250,000! All ticket proceeds will be donated to the Hakersi Foundation which supports the technological development of digitally excluded children.
The upcoming edition will be another one in which the Institute of National Remembrance will participate as a task partner! Representatives of the New Technology Division, in cooperation with the IT Office, will once again become mentors and offer their advice to programmers taking up the challenge launched by the Institute of National Remembrance, the main aim of which is to prepare a proposal for a technical solution and substantive concept for a website or application that is a generator of educational quizzes and tests for history teachers based on resources made available by the Institute of National Remembrance. The total prize pool for the winners of the Institute of National Remembrance challenge is PLN 30,000!
