The New Technology Division of the Institute of National Remembrance at the Polish School in Stockholm
From 1 to 3 December, the New Technology Division of the Institute of National Remembrance presented its portfolio at the Polish school in Stockholm. A special New Technology Zone was set up for this purpose, featuring PC and VR stations, and the programme also included lectures for teachers.
The New Technology Division at the Polish School in Stockholm
In Stockholm, the New Technology Division conducted unique educational activities during which students were able to explore history through modern educational tools. Pupils tested all available games and applications, put on VR goggles, and—using controllers—transported themselves into realistically reconstructed settings from Poland’s recent history.
Meeting Between Director Adrianna Paradowska and Teachers
Adrianna Paradowska, Deputy Director of the New Technology Division, held discussions with the leadership and teachers of the Polish school. The meeting addressed the development of patriotic education, reviewed findings from the Division’s research reports, and presented the Institute’s educational offer.
Immersive Historical Education Around the World
The visit to Stockholm aimed not only to spark students’ interest but also to encourage them to deepen their knowledge of Polish history independently. The use of cutting-edge technologies allows young people to engage more fully in learning and to better understand the context of events that shaped Poland’s fate.
Educational projects developed by the New Technology Division and presented in many regions of the world—including the USA, Greece, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Germany, Thailand, and the United Kingdom—are met with positive reception not only from educators and parents, but above all from young people. Designed especially for them, these educational applications effectively stimulate imagination, support the development of civic attitudes, and demonstrate that technology can function as a tool for learning, not merely entertainment.
It is worth emphasizing that thanks to such initiatives carried out by the Institute of National Remembrance, young people living outside Poland can deepen their knowledge of their own history and strengthen their sense of national identity.
