The New Technology Division at the Anti-aircraft Defense Museum in Koszalin
The achievements of the New Technology Division at the Institute of National Remembrance were presented at the Colonel Stanisław Paszkiewicz Anti-aircraft Defense Museum on 27-28 February. Guests could learn more about all projects that have been implemented, including the latest educational game entitled “Aviators – War in the Skies.” Furthermore, the museum hosted representatives of the military unit in Świdwin, who graced the event.
Educational Projects of the New Technologies Division
Efficient PCs and VR (virtual reality) sets were available on site, which made it possible to discover history in an immersive and modern manner. All devices were quite popular, with the young participants using the virtual reality sets the most willingly. The experience of wearing VR goggles, gripping controllers and time traveling offered a very attractive form of learning history.
The guests, mainly schoolchildren, but also educators, teachers and other history aficionados visiting the museum, had an opportunity to discover a diverse immersive and educational offer prepared by the New Technology Division.
- “Cyphers Game” – the first educational gaming project of the Institute of National Remembrance. The game presents the achievements of Polish cryptologists, who played a key role in the Polish-Bolshevik war. The game is available on Windows devices, VR and Android and iOS mobile devices.
- “Aviators” – the latest gaming project of the Institute of National Remembrance. The game presents the achievements of the Polish aviators who fought for Poland in the Second World War. It is available on Windows devices and VR.
- “WARSAW RISING – City of Heroes” – a computer game telling the story of the Warsaw Uprising.
- “Świadectwo poMOCY” – a touching VR film etude depicting the fate of the Ulma family murdered by the Germans in 1944 for hiding the Jews.

- “Szybowcowa ‘87” – an immersive VR application which can take you to the apartment in Wrocław in the period of the Polish People’s Republic, where underground activities were illegally conducted.
Story told through exhibits, educational projects and true stories
It is worth emphasizing that those who visited the Anti-aircraft Defense Museum in Koszalin could touch, see, listen to and immersively absorb the historical message presented not only by the products of the Institute of National Remembrance, but also by the museum exhibits and the stories told by the members of the military unit in Świdwin.
