The New Technology Division of IPN at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco
The New Technology Division of the Institute of National Remembrance took part in one of the most prestigious events in the gaming and educational industries – the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Our participation provided an opportunity to reach an international audience and promote not only the latest research report but also the activities of the entire Institute of National Remembrance.
The Game Developers Conference is an event that annually gathers thousands of participants, including programmers, artists, designers, producers, researchers, educators, and representatives of educational institutions. GDC serves as a platform not only for technological premieres but also for the exchange of knowledge and inspiration.
The Polish national zone at the event was organized by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and the Polish Trade Office in Houston. It hosted meetings, presentations of promotional, gaming, and research materials. Through our booth, Polish exhibitors had the chance to interact with their audience in person, get to know them better, and present their diverse portfolios directly. The booth was part of the Creative Sector Promotion Program implemented by PARP.

All GDC participants interested in modern education and the development of teaching methods could learn about ways to leverage technology in education and receive information about effective educational tools that engage learners and transform the perception of learning.
The report’s presentation at GDC also serves as inspiration for game and app developers to create educational content. New educational games, applications, and programs incorporating modern solutions offer potential for more effectively reaching school-aged youth, who might otherwise seem reluctant to engage with historical knowledge.
