“The Cypher Game” at the Poznań Game Arena fair
Poznań Game Arena is an event with a 15-year history, which has been co-created by a total of more than 600,000 Polish and foreign fans of gaming hardware, productions and multimedia. The fair is organised for both the industry and individual visitors. The PGA guarantees the presence of leading brands of the gaming world presenting their latest productions and products during the event. Being part of such an outstanding event, we are sure that “The Cypher Game” has attracted the interest of not only gamers, game fans, historians, but also media representatives from Poland and abroad.
The world premiere of “The Cypher Game” took place in April 2022 at one of the largest trade fairs for video game fans in the world – PAX East in Boston. The solutions used in the game were created on the basis of source materials or were accurately reproduced from historical exhibits. The players’ missions are documented historical events. This first-person 3d game with stealth elements and elaborate riddles introduces the player into the world of the war that defined Europe. Its plot begins in October 1920, during the battle for Korosteń – a key railroad junction and technical and supply base. The game allows gamers to play real characters of the soldiers of the Polish-Bolshevik war, run complex communication devices from 100 years ago and save Europe from communist enslavement.
The game is made available free of charge on the Steam platform. It can also be downloaded from the Play Store and the AppStore. It will run on VR goggles, Windows PCs and mobile devices supported by iOS and Android. https://bnt.ipn.gov.pl/en/projects/games/cyphers-game/
