What distinguishes the Central History Point most is its innovative approach to historical education by providing education through experience. In the New Technology Zone, you can participate in historical events and become real heroes. All this is possible thanks to educational games and applications developed by the New Technology Division at the Institute of National Remembrance, which are presented on state-of-the-art gaming equipment.

What does an immersive history lesson in the New Technology Zone look like?
A lesson starts with a short introduction and by presenting possibilities offered by the space. At the very beginning, an educator briefly characterizes each of the projects presented by the New Technology Division. Then, they make you familiar with the equipment on which you will experience an educational historical journey. At the end, they introduce a team of animators who accompany you throughout the immersive lesson.
Once the introduction is over, you can start exploring the entire space and use all the attractions. The New Technology Zone offers:
- as many as 3 ORB X GamePod gaming capsules. They are futuristic, state-of-the-art devices that take gaming experience to another level. Each capsule is equipped with a comfortable gaming chair, three monitors and high-quality peripheral equipment. In the capsule you can play all gaming projects of the New Technology Division released on PC.
- 5 VR (Virtual Reality) stations. There are sets consisting of two controllers and goggles. Thanks to virtual reality technology, you can be transported directly to the reality of the presented project. VR stations are available to guests over 13 years of age.
What to do when the immersive history lesson is over?
Once the immersive history lesson is over, first reach the tablet with a quiz based on the project that you are most curious about. This allows you to verify your newly-acquired knowledge and find out whether you are learning history carefully. Do not worry if the quiz result turns out to be unsatisfactory. All educational projects offered by the New Technology Division can be downloaded for free. This way you can participate in a project of your choice at home. Feel free to take the remaining quizzes as well. This way you can verify your knowledge about all projects presented.
Teachers are particularly invited to encourage school pupils to take quizzes. Furthermore, we encourage them to continue immersive history lessons at schools.
How to continue immersive history lessons at school?
Please be reminded that all projects offered by the New Technology Division at the Institute of National Remembrance can be downloaded for free. Therefore, you can encourage your pupils to get involved in them on their own or install them for free on school computers and conduct immersive history lessons at school.
Specially for teachers, we provide lesson scenarios based on the educational projects that are in line with the core curriculum. This way, all you have to do is make a game or an application available to the youth and then conduct a lesson supported by the scenario developed for a given project.

The official opening and the first week are behind us
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the opening of the Central History Point. During the first week, the New Technology Zone was visited by nearly 800 guests at different ages – from school pupils to parents and teachers to senior citizens.
The official opening was kicked off by special speeches. The first speech was delivered by the President of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Nawrocki, which was followed by a lecture delivered by Professor Andrzej Nowak. A plaque commemorating the patron of the Central History Point, President Lech Kaczyński, was unveiled, and the ceremony was topped out with artistic performances.
The official opening and the first immersive history lessons were attented by the Director of the New Technology Division, Magdalena Hajduk. During the ceremony, she pointed out that educational projects offered by the New Technology Division not only provide fun but also teach and are used for historical education in a manner that effectively reaches the youth.

How to get to the New Technology Zone at the Central History Stop?
The New Technology Zone is located on the first floor and is open between 10 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. The Central History Point is located at ul. Marszałkowska 107, you are kindly asked to use the entrance located at ul. Świętokrzyska.
