Immersive history education – where we are and what lies ahead

In 2022, the report “Immersive History Education – Towards New Educational Pathways” was published, focusing on the needs and expectations of younger generations in teaching contemporary history and education in general.
Now, two years after its release, we analyze the changes that have occurred in the field of immersive education, identify best practices, and highlight current challenges. The report presents research findings on the use of digital technologies in education, discusses methods for addressing the technological needs of younger generations, and raises issues related to the generational gap and digital poverty.
The report also includes recommendations crucial for implementing immersive educational methods. It is aimed at individuals interested in effectively reaching young people with educational content – ideal for teachers, educators, educational institution staff, and parents.
