“Testimony of Help” educational project
Etude “Testimony of Help” created by the Institute of National Remembrance is a touching story of the blessed Ulma family who gave shelter to Jews during the German occupation. As a result of a denunciation, the entire family and the Jews they were hiding were brutally murdered.
This immersive show created with use of VR technology inspires reflection over human solidarity in face of evil. Thanks to the latest technology, it is possible to move into rooms designed to look like actual rooms from the 1940s, which show the reality of the Podkarpackie countryside. Combination of historical artifacts (photographs, documents) with a narration led by six-year-old Basia Ulma helps to understand these tragic events of the past.
