Premiere opening of the Central History Point
The facility’s premiere opening will take place from 6 to 7 May. It is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m., and the event will begin with the ceremonial unveiling of a commemorative plaque, speeches, and a tour of the facility. The event will also feature a brief recital in the foyer.
From 6 to 11 May, you can register (individually or in groups) for immersive history lessons taking place in the New Technology Zone.

Welcome to the New Technology Zone
The New Technology Zone in the Central History Point offers a lot of opportunities, attractions, and educational games. Here you can learn about all the projects of the New Technology Division of the Institute of National Remembrance and experience effective and engaging learning thanks to the use of modern technologies.
What exactly are we talking about? We are talking about making the most of the potential of immersive historical education and learning about educational games and applications so that you can have the most fun and learn as effectively as possible.
What does the New Technology Zone offer?
For all history explorers, we provide:
- As many as 3 ORB X GamePod gaming capsules, which make the projects of the IPN’s New Technology Division even more spectacular. Sit in an ergonomic chair located in the capsule’s cockpit, close the dome, and adjust the three screen settings to your needs. Immerse yourself in games based on real events. Learn about history in an innovative way. In the capsule you will play all gaming projects of the New Technology Division released on PC.
- 2 VR (Virtual Reality) stations. Put on the VR goggles, grab the controllers, and see how you can learn history in an immersive way. Thanks to virtual reality technology, you will be transported directly to the reality of the presented project.
- Interactive avatars depicting figures important to the history of Poland, such as Jan Zumbach or Jan Kowalewski. Each of these avatars is made using hololed technology and is a realistic 3D model capable of moving, gesturing, and answering various questions from visitors. This is an ideal opportunity to talk to the heroes of history, ask them questions about their participation in important events, and listen to their accounts. Come and take advantage of the opportunity to talk to the avatar of your chosen hero!
New Technology Zone for schools
In the New Technology Zone in Central History Point, we provide a wide range of educational offers for schools, educational institutions, teachers, and educators. In addition to the above-mentioned attractions, you will also find tablets with historical quizzes, the content of which refers to the presented projects. For teachers, we provide special materials with ready-made lesson plans that can be used at school, based on projects of the New Technology Division.
The New Technology Zone at the Central History Point is a perfect place to conduct an interactive history lesson and encourage students to participate in a historical trip outside the school walls.
The official opening of the Central History Point is scheduled for 6 May 2024
On 6 May, the Central History Point will be presented to pre-registered groups of school youth, invited journalists, and public figures related to national education.
