New Technology Zone in Jabłonna

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Primary School in Jabłonna being named after the Home Army (Armia Krajowa, AK), students have the opportunity to take part in a series of unique history lessons. As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Institute of National Remembrance’s New Technology Division is organising a New Technology Zone at the school. These immersive history lessons are taking place on 4 and 5 November.

30 years of commemorating the Home Army

Three decades ago, the Primary School in Jabłonna was named after the Home Army, a formation that played a particularly important role in the history of the Polish Underground State and the struggle for independence during the Second World War. The anniversary provides an opportunity to recall the legacy of the school’s patron, familiarise younger generations with the stories of Home Army soldiers, and highlight the importance of historical memory in shaping civic attitudes.

The inclusion of the IPN New Technology Zone in the celebrations makes it possible to complement traditional forms of education with solutions tailored to students’ needs. As a result, exploring Poland’s recent history becomes an opportunity for independent engagement, taking on challenges and actively participating in the historical events being presented.

Celebrating the anniversary at the IPN New Technology Zone

The New Technology Zone is a space where visitors can freely explore PC and VR stations, immersing themselves in the experiences offered by the featured productions. Here, students and teachers step into the roles of Polish heroes and, depending on the project, defend the skies over Europe or support the people fighting in the Warsaw Uprising.

As part of the anniversary celebrations in Jabłonna, students can explore all our educational projects and discover the many opportunities offered by modern history education. Digital environments allow them to view historical events from a different perspective and even step into the shoes of those who took part in them.
