New Technology Division at Gamescom: another success on the International stage
This year’s Gamescom turned out to be a great success for the New Technology Division of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN). Participating in this prestigious event not only provided an excellent opportunity to promote the educational adventure game “Aviators” but also helped raise historical awareness among the international gaming community.
Another presentation of “Aviators” at international fairs
“Aviators” had its debut at one of the world’s largest educational technology fairs – Bett London. As a result, the game gained international popularity and is recognized by players worldwide. The game has already surpassed 400,000 downloads, and this number continues to grow.
Half a year after its premiere, the New Technology Division of IPN presented its latest project in Germany at the world’s largest gaming fair – Gamescom. This reinforced the position of “Aviators,” establishing the game as a modern tool for learning history. The title has been translated into 11 languages, allowing it to be accessible to players virtually worldwide.
The New Technology Division at Gamescom
The significant interest in the New Technology Division of IPN’s booth translated into substantial promotional success. The game garnered recognition from players and also caught the attention of media and influencers. Many people highlighted the uniqueness of the Polish approach to historical education, which combines entertainment with learning, creating engaging and educational experiences. The booth was also visited by streamers who conducted live coverage, asking questions about the game, its message, and the concept of immersive historical education.
Thanks to the presentation at the fair, “Aviators” reached around 335,000 people from 120 countries worldwide. Such success cannot be overlooked. Considering the spontaneous video reports created by booth visitors, it can be assumed that the number of recipients of the New Technology Division’s educational project is even higher.
The participation of the New Technology Division in Gamescom also had a significant impact on raising historical awareness among the international community. The presented game not only educates but also encourages reflection on difficult moments in history, fostering empathy and understanding of the complex fates of nations. This demonstrates that games can be an effective educational tool, capable of conveying valuable content in an accessible and appealing manner.
Polish Party at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland
The New Technology Division had the pleasure of participating in the Polish Party at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland – an event aimed at promoting the Polish video game industry, our history, and Poland’s modern achievements. Through this participation, it was possible to present a modern image of the Institute of National Remembrance and establish beneficial industry relationships through networking to strengthen the Institute’s position in the gaming industry. Focusing on individuals connected to the Polish game development scene allows the immersive historical education and gaming projects of the New Technology Division to reach a wide audience.
“Aviators” at the Polish Video Game Booth
Thanks to cooperation with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), “Aviators” were presented not only at the Institute’s booth but also at a separate stand among other Polish productions. The Polish booth located in Hall 4 was open to all visitors during business days from Wednesday to Friday. The entire space covered over 100 square meters, showcasing more than 60 Polish companies. All visitors, including those from abroad, had the opportunity to learn more about the Polish video game market; it was an excellent occasion to promote immersive historical education and Polish gaming productions.
