Mobile chests with Immersive Historical Education at “Rekon 2025” in Wrocław

On June 14, Wrocław hosted the “Rekon” picnic, an event that attracted visitors with a variety of attractions, including equipment demonstrations by uniformed services and historical battle reenactments. The Museum of Engineering and Chemical Military showcased innovative projects by the New Technology Division of IPN during this engaging event.

Rekon 2025 – An Event Full of Attractions

The “Rekon” picnic brought together military enthusiasts, history buffs, and families seeking entertainment. Visitors enjoyed displays featuring over 200 reenactors, vintage military vehicles, orchestra performances, and heavy military equipment. The event also included lectures, demonstrations by uniformed services, and a variety of food stands to enhance the experience.

Presentation of New Technology Division Projects

The New Technology Division of IPN showcased its educational initiatives using mobile crates designed for immersive historical learning. These crates offered guests a hands-on way to explore Polish history, earning praise from both younger and older attendees.

The educational game “Aviators – War in the Skies” was particularly popular, providing an engaging narrative about Polish pilots during World War II. This interactive experience blended captivating gameplay with historical education, making it a standout attraction.

During the event, technical issues with network connectivity initially affected the performance of the VR kits included in the mobile crates. Despite this, the projects were successfully presented in desktop format. Organizers quickly resolved the issues, ultimately showcasing all projects across both PC and VR platforms.
