HISTHACK winner in the competition “Ambassador of the Young Generation” 2023

We are pleased to announce that HISTHACK, the first programming marathon organized by the IPN, has received an award in the “Ambassador of the Young Generation” competition in the category of the most interesting event supporting the development of youth policy in Poland!

The award presentation took place on 19 September during the National Conference of Youth Councils and Youth Environments at the Prime Minister’s Office in Warsaw. The award, from the hands of Chairman of the Committee for Public Benefit, Professor Piotr Glinski, was received by IPN President Dr Karol Nawrocki and Director of the New Technology Division Magdalena Hajduk.

HISTHACK took place in the spring of 2023 on the occasion of the National Memory Congress at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw, it was aimed at high school students and consisted of work in interdisciplinary teams. Its goal was to engage students in creating new educational solutions, combining the real and digital worlds as well as the field of education and play. HISTHACK has been granted the honorary patronage of the Minister of Education and Science, GovTech Poland and MEINTech. You can watch the coverage of the competition here.
