A mobile showroom with a virtual project of the Institute of National Remembrance – the “Cypher Game” – has come to Koszalin.
The “Cypher Game” mobile showroom was launched in Poland on 14 September this year. Its fifth stop was in Koszalin, where it was presented on 22 September in the square near the amphitheatre at ul. Piastowska. From 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., nearly 100 students from Koszalin schools experienced the “Cypher Game.” We hosted students from Father Jan Twardowski Primary School No. 3, St. John Paul II Catholic Primary School, White Eagle Primary School No. 17 and Stanisław Lem Secondary School No. 5. After 1.00 p.m., the exhibition was visited by adults as well as young people aged 13 and up. Participants also had the opportunity to enjoy an additional attraction in the form of a living history lesson conducted by the “Perun” Baltic Association of History Lovers.
The organisers of the exhibition aimed to reach as many people as possible with the game as well as present the educational and entertainment opportunities that have emerged with the development of new technologies. We are pleased to see such a large presence of people who have an influence on the creation of new education, as the “Cypher Game” is part of the MEN’s project titled “Games in Education” and will be included in the curriculum as recommended content. We hope that the promotion of the mobile exhibition will significantly affect the frequency of reaching for new solutions in historical education and contribute to the expansion of the educational offer.
